In 2020 Tamara taught this 4-month photography course for a refugee youth training program through the Community Migrant Refugee Centre.  Many of the students had fled from war-torn countries and extreme hardship to begin a new life in Australia.  The students used smart phones to capture their images.  The students learned about composition, light, photographic processes, working on assignments and photographing within their communities.  Capturing moments and composing compelling portraits were some of the outcomes of this community outreach program.
